Explore Tarangire National Park, famous for its elephant herds and baobab trees, then journey to the Ndutu region, best visited from December to March for exceptional wildlife viewing and photography opportunities, particularly for the Great Migration. Continue to the Northern Serengeti for a night game drive and explore both Central and Eastern Serengeti, renowned for their abundant wildlife and stunning vistas. Conclude your safari with a thrilling game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater and a final visit to Lake Manyara National Park before returning to Springlands Hotel.
For those extending their journey, consider adding a day trip and relaxing visit to Zanzibar for a blend of cultural and beach experiences.
Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, our dedicated driver will be eagerly awaiting you with a sign bearing your name, ready to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome. From there, you’ll enjoy a seamless and comfortable transfer to the enchanting Springlands Hotel. Later, our experienced safari coordinators will provide a pre-safari briefing, offering an exciting preview of the wonders that await you. Relax and unwind in the serene environment of Springlands Hotel, featuring a swimming pool, a beautiful garden, a bar, and a restaurant.
After breakfast, you’ll head to Arusha National Park, known for its diverse landscapes, from lush forests to the striking Momella Lakes. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to embark on a walking safari, offering a unique perspective on the park’s flora and fauna. Enjoy game viewing with sightings of giraffes, buffaloes, and various primates, all set against the stunning backdrop of Mount Meru. In the afternoon, you’ll drive to Karatu for a comfortable overnight stay, reflecting on the day’s experiences.
After breakfast, you’ll transfer from Karatu to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its spectacular wildlife sightings, particularly during the dry season when animals converge near the Tarangire River. The park’s diverse terrain includes grassy savannahs, swamps, and iconic baobab trees. You’ll have the chance to see large herds of elephants, along with zebras, buffalo, lions, and various bird species. After a day of exciting game drives and wildlife viewing, you’ll return to Karatu for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, you’ll set off towards the Ndutu region, renowned for its excellent wildlife viewing opportunities, particularly for a photographic safari. As you travel, enjoy a game drive with chances to spot a variety of wildlife including giraffes, zebras, and elephants. In the afternoon, continue exploring the stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife of the Serengeti as you head towards the Ngorongoro area.
Arrive at Ngorongoro Wild Camp in the late afternoon, where you’ll have the opportunity to capture breathtaking views and experience a unique night game drive, offering a different perspective of the area’s nocturnal wildlife.
After breakfast, you’ll embark on a full day of exploration in the Ndutu region, known for its incredible wildlife and picturesque landscapes. This area is especially renowned for its seasonal migrations and rich biodiversity, making it ideal for a photographic safari. Throughout the day, you’ll have ample opportunities to capture stunning images of the resident wildlife, including large herds of wildebeest and zebras, as well as predators such as lions and cheetahs. The diverse terrain offers fantastic backdrops for photography, from open plains to lush wetlands. Return to Ngorongoro Wild Camp in the evening to relax and reflect on your day of adventure.
After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey to the Northern Serengeti, enjoying a game drive along the way through varied landscapes. As you are on the way to the north, keep an eye out for wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, elephants, lions and many other animals. Arrive at your accommodation in the late afternoon, and in the evening, embark on a thrilling night game drive. This unique experience offers the chance to observe the Serengeti’s nocturnal wildlife, including hyenas and owls, from a different perspective.
After breakfast, you’ll drive to the Central Serengeti, renowned for its dense wildlife populations and breathtaking landscapes. Spend the day exploring the park’s rich variety of habitats, from rolling plains to riverine woodlands, and enjoy exceptional game viewing opportunities. Look out for the “Big Five” and other iconic species such as lions, leopards, and elephants. The central region’s abundant wildlife and stunning vistas provide a fantastic photographic backdrop. In the late afternoon, return to your accommodation for a relaxing evening.
After breakfast, you’ll embark on a full-day game drive, exploring both the Central and Eastern Serengeti regions. Start with the Central Serengeti, known for its vibrant wildlife and varied landscapes. Then, proceed to the Eastern Serengeti, which offers stunning panoramas and different wildlife viewing opportunities. Enjoy sightings of diverse species and capture the beauty of these iconic areas. Return to your accommodation in the late afternoon, reflecting on another day of extraordinary wildlife experiences.
After breakfast, you’ll drive from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a thrilling game drive in this UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its rich wildlife and stunning landscapes. Expect to see an array of animals including lions, rhinos, and elephants within the crater’s unique ecosystem. After a day of exploration, you’ll drive to Karatu for an overnight stay, resting up in preparation for your departure the next day.
In the morning, after breakfast, you’ll drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This diverse ecosystem attracts a wide variety of mammals, birds, and other wildlife species. Manyara is renowned for its rare tree-climbing lions and offers excellent game viewing opportunities, with buffalo, impala, giraffe, bushbuck, waterbuck, hippos, and numerous elephants often seen near the lake. Keep an eye out for blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, and the active Olive baboon troops. Lake Manyara is a birdwatcher’s paradise, with large flocks of flamingos, circling birds of prey, and the brightly colored lilac-breasted roller. In the Afternoon you will drive back to Arusha / Moshi.
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.
